A strange happening between iOS and android

I study the market for London bus. I find that there are better developed london bus app in iOS than android. These look better apps are developed by existing medium companies. They are not interested in advertising on their app. They want to create a portfolio on the app environment. I think they are more towards software design studio.

Over at android, there are more apps developed by individual. They are not well designed but have huge good reviews.

It seems that iPhone gives a up class image while android has image that corporate wants to avoid.

If that is the case, then there will be less update on these iOS app and I will still focus on usability and design in London bus.
